Detailed Description:

The self-regulating technology allows the cable's performance to automatically change with variations in ambient temperature: the heating power increases in cold conditions and decreases in warmer temperatures, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
The parallel construction allows the cable to be cut to the required length on-site, making it customizable for the specific application.
It is widely used in various industrial and residential heating applications:

• Frost protection for potable water, wastewater, and industrial pipelines
• Heat maintenance for liquids transported in industrial and agricultural facilities (e.g., chemicals, oils)
• Ice prevention for gutters and drains
• Heat maintenance for large storage tanks in industrial plants
• Keeping fuel and chemical tanks warm to reduce viscosity
• Protection for garden taps, water meters, and smaller pipelines during cold months
• Protection for pipes of solar collectors and heat pumps

Technical Specifications:

•  Construction: Grounding Braid + Outer Sheath
• Insulation: Black thermoplastic outer sheath
• Voltage: 230 V
• Power: 40 W/m
• Maximum Operating Temperature (on): 65°C
• Maximum Operating Temperature (off): 80°C
• Minimum Installation Temperature: -25°C
• Bend Radius: Minimum 25 mm

Operation:

The TRACECO-T heating cable is an easy-to-install and energy-efficient solution for pipe freeze protection. Thanks to its self-regulating technology, it does not require constant supervision and can be safely used in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Installation Instructions

The heating cable must be placed on the lower part of the pipeline. It is important not to use the cable on pipes that can reach temperatures of up to 65°C. This cable is only suitable for frost protection of metal or plastic pipes. For plastic pipes, it is recommended to first apply an aluminum adhesive tape to the pipe to ensure better heat conduction.

How to select the appropriate cable?

• The selected cable heating length must match the length of the pipe.
• The pipe surface should be clean and dry before securing the cable.
• The cable should be secured with PVC or aluminum adhesive tape. The ELAA-50  type aluminum tape is particularly recommended as it helps distribute heat evenly on plastic pipes.

Thermostat Installation

The thermostat (with black casing) should be attached directly to the pipe.

Insulation and Safety

• The system should be covered with an insulation layer to reduce heat loss and save energy.
• Recommended insulation thickness: minimum 13-19 mm.
• Ensure that the grounding is properly connected, as this guarantees safe operation.

The connector cable contains three wires: phase, neutral, and ground. Make sure that the system is correctly connected to the ground to avoid electrical issues.
