Thanks to the self-regulating technology of the TRACECO-R heating cable, its power automatically adjusts with changes in the surrounding temperature. Due to its parallel construction, it can be cut to the desired length without requiring pre-defined sections. This not only simplifies installation but also offers a time- and cost-effective solution. It is equipped with a grounding braid, providing extra protection for electrical safety.

Usage:

Length Selection and Cutting

Fixing to the Surface:

For pipelines: The cable is fixed parallel or spirally to the pipe with special fixing tapes or cable ties.
For surfaces and floors: The cable should be fixed to the surface with appropriate fixing elements or rail systems.

Electrical Connection: The cable is connected to the network through a junction box. Thanks to the self-regulating technology, no separate thermostat is required, but a temperature control device can be used for energy-saving or regulation purposes.

Insulation and Protection: The heated surface (e.g., pipes) should be covered with thermal insulation to improve efficiency.

Commissioning and Inspection: After installation, it is recommended to electrically inspect the system and then perform a test run of the heating cable to ensure proper operation.

Installation Instructions

The heating cable must be placed on the lower part of the pipeline. It is important not to use the cable on pipes that can reach temperatures of up to 65°C. This cable is only suitable for frost protection of metal or plastic pipes. For plastic pipes, it is recommended to first apply an aluminum adhesive tape to the pipe to ensure better heat conduction.

How to select the appropriate cable?

The selected cable heating length must match the length of the pipe.
The pipe surface should be clean and dry before securing the cable.
The cable should be secured with PVC or aluminum adhesive tape. The ELAA-50 type aluminum tape is particularly recommended as it helps distribute heat evenly on plastic pipes.

Thermostat Installation

The thermostat (with black casing) should be attached directly to the pipe.

Insulation and Safety

The system should be covered with an insulation layer to reduce heat loss and save energy.
Recommended insulation thickness: minimum 13-19 mm.
Ensure that the grounding is properly connected, as this guarantees safe operation.

The connector cable contains three wires: phase, neutral, and ground. Make sure that the system is correctly connected to the ground to avoid electrical issues.
