TTS ATEX Self-Regulating Heating Cable 60W/m | Extreme Frost Protection (-45°C to +210°C)

Introduction

This user manual is designed for constant wattage heating cables, which are ideal for frost protection, temperature regulation, and industrial heating solutions. These cables provide uniform power output along their entire length, making them effective for heating pipes, tanks, and other surfaces in both residential and industrial environments.

Key Features:

• Constant Wattage: The cable delivers the same heat output along its entire length, regardless of ambient temperature.
• Heat Resistance: Depending on the type, the cables can withstand temperatures of up to 200°C.
• Durability: Available in UV-resistant versions and with different outer sheaths (such as fluoropolymer, PVC, or halogen-free materials), making them suitable for extreme environments.
• High Mechanical Strength: The cables feature a strong outer sheath that protects against mechanical damage.

Installation Guide

Preparation:

• Ensure that the installation area is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants that could affect cable performance.
• Check the cable voltage and power rating to ensure compatibility with the system requirements (typically 230V).
• Make sure the cable has adequate heat dissipation along its entire length.

Laying the Cable:

• Install the cable along the desired route, ensuring full coverage of the required surfaces.
• For pipe heating: Attach the heating cable in a straight line or spirally around the pipes, following the specific project requirements.
• For tank heating: Distribute the cables evenly around the tanks to ensure optimal heat distribution.
• Use aluminum adhesive tape or special cable fasteners for secure attachment.

Connection:

• Only use manufacturer-approved connectors and junction boxes for connecting the constant wattage heating cable.
• Ensure proper grounding and compliance with relevant electrical safety regulations.

Testing:

• Before connecting, check the cable continuity and insulation resistance using appropriate measuring instruments.

Operation

The constant wattage heating cable provides a consistent heat output during operation. For efficient energy use, it is recommended to use a thermostat or temperature controller.

Maintenance

• Periodically inspect the cable's condition and attachment.
• Ensure that the cable sheath is intact and undamaged.

Troubleshooting

• If the cable is not functioning correctly, check the power supply, connections, and temperature control system.
• If the cable is physically damaged, contact the manufacturer for replacement or repair.
