User guide

When using the TRACECO-ESR ATEX heating cable, the following steps should be followed:

1. Prepare the installation site: Before installing the heating cable, ensure that the area complies with ATEX (explosion-proof environments) regulations.

2. Selecting the cable length: Choosing the correct cable length for the installation task is important for the optimal functioning of the system. The TRACECO-ESR ATEX cable has self-regulating properties, which allow it to be customized to the required heating needs by adjusting its length.

3. Cable fixation and placement: Secure the cable properly on the desired surface, such as pipes or tanks, ensuring that it is not damaged and that proper temperature distribution is maintained. Be careful during installation to avoid creating overheating points.

4. Electrical connections: Before connecting the cable, ensure that all necessary electrical protection measures, such as surge protection, grounding, and proper connection boxes, are in place. In ATEX environments, it is crucial to use explosion-proof connectors and devices.

5. Testing and commissioning: After installation, conduct thorough testing to ensure the system operates correctly and the cable functions safely in the explosive environment.

6. Maintenance and inspection: In systems used in ATEX environments, special attention should be given to regular maintenance, which includes checking the cables and connections and monitoring the cable’s condition to ensure safe operation.

It is important that the cable used complies with the explosion protection requirements of the specific environment, and installation should only be carried out by qualified professionals who have the necessary ATEX certification.
