The drum base heater is an industrial electric heating device used for heating metal drums from below, designed to warm, melt, or maintain the temperature of viscous or heat-sensitive materials.

Details

Detailed Description:

The drum base heater operates via direct heat transfer when placed under a metal drum, providing efficient heating while offering an easy-to-install and user-friendly solution. Its flat surface ensures stable drum placement. The integrated heating element delivers uniform heat distribution, while the stainless steel construction enhances durability and corrosion resistance.

The drum base heater is widely used in industrial environments, especially in the following sectors:

Chemical industry: Preheating resins, solvents, adhesives, paints, and lacquers before processing viscous or frost-sensitive substances
Food industry: Heating honey, chocolate, syrups, fats, and oils for easier dosing or processing – gentle heat maintenance without damaging raw materials
Automotive industry: Warming adhesives and synthetic resins during assembly or painting operations
Pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries: Maintaining the temperature of creams, oils, and gel-like materials during processing

Assembly and Maintenance Instructions

Check the network voltage to ensure it is suitable for operation.
The connection cable supplied with the heater is equipped with a BJC-3023 type plug. Therefore, a compatible socket must be installed for this model.
Do not use the heater in areas classified as fire or explosion hazards. Do not use the heater with hazardous substances such as solvents, adhesives, etc.
Avoid any physical contact with the cable (e.g., impacts, pulling, pinching), as this may damage the cable and, consequently, the device itself.
Install the unit with sufficient free space around it to allow easy removal of the heater for maintenance or replacement purposes.

Commissioning of Electric Heating Devices

Magnesium oxide, used as insulation in shielded heating elements, is hygroscopic. Although the units are sealed with silicone, prolonged storage or inactivity may lead to a temporary reduction in insulation resistance, which will recover once the device is reconnected. In case of extended inactivity, it is recommended to operate the unit at a low power setting for a few hours to remove moisture before switching to full capacity.

Maintenance

No special maintenance is required, except for the regular inspection of:

Proper functioning of control and safety elements,
Correct tightening of electrical connections,
The condition of sealing gaskets.

If the unit is used with liquids that tend to form solid deposits (e.g., oils or fluids containing suspended solids), the heating element must be cleaned as often as necessary using non-corrosive mechanical or chemical methods suitable for the materials of the unit.

Warnings

This component is intended to be part of industrial equipment.
It must be installed, maintained, and operated exclusively by qualified professionals, in accordance with regulations set by the relevant national authorities.
The installation must ensure proper heat dissipation without posing any risk to the component itself or to surrounding materials.
