Details

Detailed Description:

Thanks to self-regulating technology, the cable automatically adjusts its power output based on ambient temperature changes: increasing heating performance in cold conditions and decreasing it in warm conditions. This ensures efficient and safe operation.
Its parallel construction allows on-site cutting to the required length, making it adaptable to specific applications. Widely used in various industrial and residential heating solutions:

• Freeze protection systems

• Heating and comfort applications, such as in agricultural facilities (watering systems, greenhouse heating)

• Industrial applications

• Heated storage tanks

Technical Specifications:

• Structure: Grounding braid + outer jacket
• Insulation: Black thermoplastic outer jacket
• Voltage: 230 V
• Power Output: 12 W/m
• Maximum Operating Temperature (powered): 65°C
• Maximum Operating Temperature (unpowered): 80°C
• Minimum Installation Temperature: -20°C
• Bending Radius: Minimum 25 mm

Operation:

The TRACECO-S heating cable is a simple-to-install and energy-efficient solution for pipe freeze protection. Thanks to its self-regulating technology, it does not require constant monitoring and is safe for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Installation Instructions

The heating cable must be placed on the lower part of the pipeline. It is important not to use the cable on pipes that can reach temperatures of up to 65°C. This cable is only suitable for frost protection of metal or plastic pipes. For plastic pipes, it is recommended to first apply an aluminum adhesive tape to the pipe to ensure better heat conduction.

How to select the appropriate cable?

• The selected cable heating length must match the length of the pipe.
• The pipe surface should be clean and dry before securing the cable.
• The cable should be secured with PVC or aluminum adhesive tape. The ELAA-50  type aluminum tape is particularly recommended as it helps distribute heat evenly on plastic pipes.

Thermostat Installation

The thermostat (with black casing) should be attached directly to the pipe.

Insulation and Safety

• The system should be covered with an insulation layer to reduce heat loss and save energy.
• Recommended insulation thickness: minimum 13-19 mm.
• Ensure that the grounding is properly connected, as this guarantees safe operation.

The connector cable contains three wires: phase, neutral, and ground. Make sure that the system is correctly connected to the ground to avoid electrical issues.
