• Frost protection for household water supply systems
• Protection of water pipes in livestock farms
• Frost prevention in greenhouses and irrigation systems
• Protection of pipelines in factories and industrial facilities

Technical Features:

• Protection Class: Class I
• Safe operation guaranteed down to -20°C
• Durable outer insulation resistant to mechanical impacts and environmental conditions
• Keeps water supply pipes warm down to -20°C
• Automatic activation below 5°C and deactivation above 15°C for optimal energy consumption

Technical Specifications:

• Voltage: 230 V
• Heating power: 20 W/2m (at 5°C)
• Operating temperature range: -20°C to +85°C
• Activation temperature: 5°C
• Deactivation temperature: 15°C
• Protection rating: IPX7 (fully waterproof, suitable for outdoor use)
• Insulation: Weather-resistant thermoplastic coating with mechanical protective braiding
• Connection: Integrated plug, directly connectable to a power outlet

Operation:

The AquaCable-2 is an electric heating cable that generates heat to keep pipes, tanks, or other surfaces warm, preventing freezing. Inside the cable, two parallel conductors carry electrical current, and a special resistive layer emits heat in response, ensuring efficient frost protection.

Installation Guide

Selecting the Appropriate Cable Length:

• The length of the heating cable should match or exceed the length of the pipe, depending on whether you use a straight or spiral layout.
• For plastic pipes, it is recommended to apply aluminum adhesive tape first to improve heat distribution.

Attaching the Cable to the Pipe:

1. Clean the pipe surface to ensure better adhesion.
2. Place the cable along the bottom of the pipe or in a spiral pattern.
3. Secure the cable using PVC or aluminum adhesive tape.
4. Avoid overlapping the cable, as this may cause overheating.

Thermostat Operation:

• The heating cable automatically activates when the temperature drops below 5°C and switches off when the pipe temperature rises above 15°C, ensuring optimal energy consumption.

Applying Insulation:

• To ensure efficient operation, the pipe and the heating cable should be covered with insulation at least 13-19 mm thick.
• The insulation should not be too tight, as it may hinder heat dissipation.

Commissioning and Operation:

1. Plug the cable into a 230V power outlet.
2. The system will automatically activate if the pipe temperature falls below 5°C.
3. The cable provides continuous heating, keeping the pipes warm and preventing freezing.

Maintenance and Inspection:

• Regularly inspect the cable for any damage, cracks, or wear.
• Check the connectors and grounding for proper condition.
• If the cable is damaged, do not use it, and replace it immediately.

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as they may damage the insulation.
